1971 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J

This 1971 Grand Prix Model J was originally sold in San Diego, Ca. It spent it's life in Southern California until 2007 when the car was inherited by a family member. The original 400ci motor was replaced by the current 455 in 1980. It was rebuilt once in 1987 and, more recently in 2002. It has been bored .040 over to bring the dispacement to 468 cubic inches. The cam is a 250-270 duration. Long tube headers have been installed and there is a switch in the center console that controls an exhaust cutout for when you want to scare your neighbors. From 2001-2003 the owner began a minor restoration of the car. Most of the exterior and interior trim was replaced. The interior was reupholstered. The black vinyl roof was replaced and the original white paint which was in need of a respray was painted a custom pearl white. This is overall a very nice driver and most importantly free of rust. The curent owner drove it straight from LA to San Francisco 5 years ago and has maintained it in good running condition.
