2004 Lotus Esprit V8 Final Edition

ATTENTION LOTUS ESPRIT COLLECTORS:  2004 LOTUS ESPRIT FINAL EDITION FINISHED IN LOTUS RACING GREEN OVER BLACK LEATHER SEATS WITH GREEN INSERTS. EIGHT-CYLINDER 3.5L 350 HP 5-SPEED MANUAL REAR WHEEL DRIVE TWIN TURBO. THIS CAR IS ONE OF ONLY TWO GREEN 2004 FINAL EDITION ESPRITS IN EXISTENCE AND BELIEVED TO BE THE ONLY ONE LOCATED IN NORTH AMERICA. AS DOCUMENTED FROM THE LOTUS FACTORY, THIS RARE CAR IS THE THIRD FROM THE FINAL ESPRIT TO EMERGE FROM THE FACTORY. UNDER 23K MILES. CLEAN CARFAX. (VIN NO. SCCDC08264HA10619)

Esprit Collectors:  If you have been waiting for a clean, well-cared-for Final Edition, your search is over!  You certainly know that these cars are difficult to find, because they are among the most coveted Esprits ever produced. And Lotus built only 79 Final Editions in 2003-2004 to cap off the iconic Esprits 26-year run. S.F. Lotus proudly offers this stunning example in spectacular Lotus Racing Green a color that draws upon Lotus' storied racing heritage and beloved legends such as Formula One Champions Jim Clark and Graham Hill.  To see this car in person risks taking your breath away.  It is truly that beautiful.  Lotus factory documentation accompanying this vehicle confirms the extreme rarity of this Final Edition Esprit painted in this handsome color that is perfect for this car.

And then there's the spectacular performance.  OMG . . . .the powerplant mounted amidships gives this car perfect balance and will propel this beast from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds.  Rated at 350 HP, the V-8 engine attains such phenomenal quickness due to its light payload the car only weighs 3,050 pounds which is the same as a Porsche Cayman GT4.  But this car can be had for tens of thousands of dollars less!

Final Editions are coveted and unique among Esprits not only because of their rarity, but also because Lotus engineers wanted to go out with a bang so the 2004 models include Eibach springs, Bilstein shocks, and adjustable spring platforms. Other upgrades include a stainless steel grille in the front spoiler, a restyled rear valence, engine builders signature on the intake plenum, diamond pattern seat stitching, shortened gear lever with brushed aluminum knob, and tire pressure monitor.

This Esprits maintenance is completely up-to-date, and so the car needs nothing. Within the last 2,000 miles, Lotus-trained technicians here at S.F. Lotus have installed a brand-new clutch, new timing belt, and new alternator.  Our friends at Audio Symphony nearby expertly installed an upgraded Alpine audio system.  The car rides on a new set of Michelins that have seen only a few hundred miles of light street and highway use. The current owner is 60 years old and has never tracked the car.  A prior owner freshened the Magnolia interior to its current black and green that compliments the car's exterior perfectly.

This Esprit has been meticulously serviced since 2016 here in our shop at S.F. Lotus. Our records are available for inspection by seriously interested individuals. The documentation also includes a Lotus-produced Certificate of Provenance, showing that this car is the third from the final Esprit ever built.

Numerous articles easily found on the Internet describe the appreciating investment value of the Esprit.  If this car tracks the 1960 Lotus Elite, a car that cost $5,500 new and which we also are proudly offering in 2018 for purchase at the market value of $130k, well, you do the math.  A 30-second YouTube video of this Esprit when it was offered for sale several years ago currently has close to 10,000 hits that's how lovely the car is.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhrE2-YQuzU

As described in Circus Before Dawn, a novel that is part love letter to the Esprit, the car is a rocket for those who missed astronaut school.  This particular example is a quicker version of the same car that James Bond converted into a submarine in the film, The Spy Who Loves Me.  (Disclaimer: this car lacks the sub option.)  The Esprit also starred in Pretty Woman and Basic Instinct.  Drive this car and star in your own movie!

This particular Esprit accelerates like a fighter jet and handles like a child's slot car.  It doesn't just halt at stoplights it poses.  Do not miss out on this rare opportunity to acquire a highly collectible Final Edition Esprit in classic Lotus Racing Green.
