2002 Lotus Esprit Coupe

An incredible find. A 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 25th Anniversary Edition with under 30k miles. This Calypso Red example, one of just 158 made in 2002, and number 3 of the 100 shipped to the U.S. acted as the debut vehicle for the final generation Esprit V8 at the 2002 Los Angeles Auto Show. Like other V-8 Esprits, power comes from a 3.5-litre V-8 with twin Garrett Turbochargers, pushing out 350 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a close ratio five-speed manual transmission. All manuals, both keys, as well as service records back to 2006 are present. This rare Lotus shows no signs of previous collision damage, or winter related corrosion. Factory paint shows as it should with some slight chipping that is consistent with the age and mileage, and the interior shows no signs of sun damage, fading, shrinkage, or abnormal wear. Recent updates include: New OEM Battery, Raid Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel, tinted glass top, and adjustable ProTech Coilover suspension. Both the OEM steering wheel and body colored roof are present and will be sold with the vehicle. The engine and gearbox are dry with the exception of a slight seepage from the right valve cover gasket, and it features the Lotus Sport Stainless steel exhaust system by CLF. The plastic lower airdam on the nose shows some wear from the occasional steep driveway, but the painted nose itself shows little to no wear.Overall, this is a solid example of what is reknowned as the finest iteration of the Esprit.
