1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello
An incredibly well maintained and preserved 550 Maranello with the 6-spd Manual Gearbox and approximately 37k miles. Sold new at Continental Autosports in Hinsdale, IL (Chicagoland Area), it made it's way to the Bay Area circa 2004 with approximately 8k miles. Finished in Rosso Corsa with Tan non-Daytona Sport Seats, the car visually shows impeccably with very few blemishes inside or out. Inspection shows no evidence of collision history or damage repair, and the paint looks to remain original. Visually, the undercarriage shows no sign of winter or wet weather exposure with all joints, suspension components, and undertrays remaining bright and without discoloring or sign of weather related deterioration. Overall, the vehicle is completely stock. Options include: Scuderia Fender Shields and Tubi-Style Exhaust.
The service history is extensive having received every scheduled service including belt services on-time, including a major service, spark plugs, spark plug wires, engine mounts, and belt service in May, 2023 at 35,282 miles. The most recent service performed in preparation for sale includes oil service, brake fluid flush, new Odyssey Battery, New Alternator, New A/C Compressor and A/C service, as well as new low pressure power steering hoses and reservoir. All service records are present dating back to 2004, when it was sold as a pre-owned vehicle at Scottsdale Ferrari and brought to the Bay Area. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires were installed in August of 2021 at approximately 34,800 miles, and currently brake linings read at 9mm front and rear. A full brake service including replacement of discs, liners, and all rubber brake hoses was performed in March, 2019 at approximately 32,700 miles.
All glass shows original with the exception of the windshield, which was replaced with an OEM unit after cracking during removal when the dash leather was re-stretched (8/2006). Receipts provided in the service records. The headlamp, tail lamp, and all accessory lenses are free of fading, spidering, or UV damage.
The interior shows very well with no fading, shrinkage, or discoloration on the leather seating, door cards, dash, console, or headliner. The carpets remain plush, and mats in overall excellent condition. The sticky button issue was corrected with a switchgear refinishing in March of 2019 (31 pieces in all), and all switchgear is free of tackiness.
All-in-all, this is an excellent example of a 550 with meticulous care that shows tedious attention to detail, having received anything and everything it has ever needed before it needed it.
Additional items that are present and convey with the sale are, 2 master keys with working immobilizer remotes, all factory manuals, factory toolkit, factory toolkit leather binder, original Agip fix-a-flat kit, OEM CD Changer with cartridge, Ferrari Leather bumper and mirror protectors in their bag, and a full car cover.
