1997 Land Rover Defender 90 LE
This superb Defender 90 Hard Top is a low mileage North American market example in the hard to find Willow Green Limited Edition Trim. A two owner California Coastal Native and a solid well cared for Defender, it shows no signs of prolonged winter weather exposure or body/underbody corrosion. The vehicle's mileage is approximately 55k miles, and according to registration records the current seller has owned the vehicle since 2002. Options include Automatic Gearbox and 6 passenger seating. In 1997 for the final year of the North American Defenders, Land Rover built exactly 300 Limited Edition units. All 300 examples came equipped with some extra goodies such as Warn Winch, Diamond Stamped Body Cladding, front exo-skeleton, roof rack and ladder, and of course it was the only way that one could get Willow Green in the US for the final year of production. This particular vehicle is number 95/300; a picture of the number plate can be found in the gallery.
The Willow Green exterior shows to retain it's original factory paint, and all exterior panels look to be original as well. Bumpers, rockers, and side steps are free of rock chips, scrapes or sign of off road use, and the OEM installed winch reportedly has never been used. As a whole, the truck is free of paint imperfections with the exception of a handful of minor door dings. All glass, including the windshield, shows to be original. Notable imperfections include a handful of door dings on the side panels.
The interior shows well with no abnormal wear on the seat fabrics, and overall is free of stains, odors, and off-road grime. The original rubber mat on the driver's side and carpet seam at the driver's door sill does show some wear. All interior accessories are functional, and the A/C blows cold. Imperfections of note include fraying on the edge of the driver's side carpeted floor mat at the door sill, and some minor separation in the headliner between the sun visors and around the dome light in the rear cargo area (photo in the gallery).
The aforementioned roof rack, ladder, as well as an aftermarket tool kit, reflector triangle, the factory tool kit, jack, all manuals, and two sets of keys all convey with the Defender.
