1996 Porsche 911 Turbo
A very well preserved and unmolested example, this low mileage 993 Turbo is unmodified and spec'ed with a handful of Special Wishes (Exclusive Programme) options. Overall, the car presents well with no sign of collision history or winter weather driving, and still retains most of it's original factory Guards Red paint. Options are decoded and listed below; notable options include: Pleated Leather Seating, OEM Special Wishes Car Phone (the phone itself is not present), heated seating, OEM Special Wishes Dark Rotwood shifter, console and dash accents. The car remains wholly stock with the exception of a period FabSpeed Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust system.
Cosmetically, the car presents as a solid 9 out of 10. The Guards Red finish remains glossy with no sun fading, oxidation, or environmental buildup, and the edges are crisp indicating that they car the finish has not been overly polished in it's lifetime. The factory paint fore of the windscreen, does have some minor pitting that can be seen upon close inspection. All metal body panels are original to the car, and all panels except the passenger door and plastic bumper cover still wear their original factory paint. Body gaps and seams are as they should be, and all body seals remain glossy and pliable. The front chin spoiler is mostly free of scratching and scrapes, and the OEM headlamps are free of pitting, sun-fade, or moisture condensation. All of the glass retains it's factory stamping indicating originality with the exception of the windscreen. The OEM 18" Turbo Twist spoke wheels are mostly scuff free. 3 of the 4 are perfect, and the fourth shows minor scratching on the lip from what looks to be from a tire mounting.
On the inside, the Black Pleated Leather seating remains supple. The seat bolsters show no discoloration or excessive wear, and the console, door cards and dash are all free of sun damage, shrinkage, fading, or cracking. The black carpets show no abnormal or excessive wear with no sun fading to speak of. The OEM Porsche Branded Cassette Stereo and CD Changer are still present, and fully functional.
Mechanically the car is solid as well. The undercarriage and engine casings are dry.. Rear tires were replaced with Pirelli P-Zero's in 2021 approximately 1k miles ago, and the front tires were replaced with matching Pirellis in preparation for sale. The suspension gear and engine/transmission casings still retain a large amount of the factory cosmoline, indicating a history of limited wet weather driving and little to no winter weather exposure. The engine bay is free of oil residue or residual oil spray, and all aluminum painted bits retain their factory silver sheen.
The car drives as it should, with smooth consistent power when transitioning on and off of turbo boost, and no notable oil smoke at cold start. The gearbox shifts smoothly and deliberately with no sign of weaking synchros or deteriorating shift linkage, and the clutch engages smoothly as well with no evidence of flywheel hot spots or past abuse (whether intentional or unintentional).
Overall this is an excellent honest example of a late production Air-Cooled Turbo with no deferred maintenance issues. The vehicle will be delivered with 2 master keys and fobs, Manuals and Manufacturer Literature, CD Changer Cartridge, original spare tire and jack.
