1974 Porsche 911 S
Presenting a lovely driver's grade 1974 911S Targa in Ice Green Metallic with approximately 101k miles. This S is a well cared for example that shows no sign of winter driving, underbody corrosion, or rust repair. The vehicle was purchased by the seller approximately 12 years ago at 72k miles and moved to California where it currently resides. The Ice Green metallic paint shows well without fading, pitting or environmental damage, and the metal brightwork and Targa bar have no swirls or discoloration. The interior is original and is overall in solid well preserved condition with no dash warpage or cracking. The vehicle retains the original steering wheel and switchgear, although the stereo has been upgraded to a newer higher quality sounding system. The original Fuch's are overall well preserved with only slight spot fading in the black enamel. Mechanically, the car is solid with no valve noise or smoke at startup. The CDI ignition box has been upgraded with a newer MSD ignition box.
Driveability is solid. The engine pulls as it should, the 915 gearbox shifts with no noise or sign of worn synchros, and the clutch engages and releases as it should. Overall, this early G body 911 S is a nice rust free survivor that would fit the bill as an excellent club tourer or weekend driver at a very reasonable price point, and these awesome off-colored 70's 911's with bright metal trim and polished targa bars are all the rage these days.
