Description:
THANK YOU, BUT SOLD...Alfa Romeo introduced a more luxurious version of the Giulia TI at the Geneva Motor Show in 1965. It was called the Giulia Super. It was recognizable by the double head lights and the badges on the C pillars. It had the famous Alfa 4 cylinder twin cam, 1.6 liter engine producing 98 HP just as the TI but was much better appointed. Alfa Romeo produced 124,590 Giulia sedans from 1965 through 1972 and very few went the USA.
This particular car is an original California black plate car with its original engine (1600 cc) and 5 speed transmission. Over the last couple of years the current owner has given this car a total mechanical and cosmetic restoration, cost not being an object. In spite of the car being largely rust free, a total body restoration was perform by our restoration department. Front and rear bumper were re-chromed, the front grille restored to as new condition. All new rubbers were installed throughout the body, including the trunk. The body was completely painted including the underside in the original Grigio Beige, AR724. The interior was restored in the same meticulous way with period correct new vinyl seat covering and door panels. All the gauges were cleaned, repaired and restored. All the chrome items were re-plated. The odometer shows 85,402 miles which we believe to be correct. All the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical parts were either restored or replaced, including the engine and gearbox by Conrad Stevenson.
The car sits on replica Cromodora wheels with Bridgestone 185/65/15 G009 tires mounted.
This is a once in a life time opportunity of owning what must be the best Super in the world.
We have all the restoration receipts exceeding $77,000 on file.
