1961 Chevrolet Corvette

The current owner's father in law was the second owner. He bought the car in 1978 from the original owner. The original owner's father owned a Chevy dealership in northern Iowa.

This beautiful C1 Corvette still has original 283 4 barrel version. Engine was rebuilt in 1995.  When the engine was re-built a 4 speed was added from a C3 corvette. We believe the car originally came with a 3 speed transmission.  The ODO was set at this time so the reading you see is the mileages after the engine rebuild 7K miles or so.  Car was driven once every other week for the past 3 years and the car is in very good mechanical condition.  Power steering was car approximately 3 years ago.  This Vehicle was repainted in 1995. Original color was blue with white coves. Interior was blue. Interior/exterior was gone over and re-done complete at this time.  New drum brake shoes have been done in the past 12 months.  Tires (including tire on spare) are BRAND new Coker bias ply tires.   

There is one crack in the back left panel. Otherwise body is in above average condition with minor imperfections.  Overall this is a great running collector car that needs some minor cosmetic TLC.
